During this Covid 19 phase, a lot of us have been forced unto a new path...What does a new path mean? Is it a new career path or a new relationship or a new path without traces of anything we are familiar with...

Spell the word 'Shop'. Go ahead, spell it. Now answer this question - What do you do at a green light? Come on! I said GREEN LIGHT. Here's another one. Spell silk. What do cows drink? I said what do they DRINK.
I got you, didn’t I?
A cheap trick, nonetheless, but it demonstrates what we perceive with our minds may not be what is. Perception is a valuable tool our mind uses in deciding. When we perceive, we use our senses to gather information, we process it using our minds and then we execute our plans. Sounds extremely logical, and infallible doesn’t it?
"What if despite all that is happening around you, something new is going to spring forth? What if your purpose and destiny was beyond what your mind can perceive or anticipate? What if in this new season, the things that you are to do, the places that you are to go and who you are to be is something totally new? How would you then interpret what’s new? "
The beginning of something NEW
Our mind, though capable of great levels of concentration, is ultimately susceptible to errors in judgment. We don’t make the right decisions all the time, and usually make decisions on what we believe is true or safe. As the saying goes, we are only human.
Our perception has limits. Limits to what we can actually do and what should be taken into consideration in our daily lives. What if despite all that is happening around you, something new is going to spring forth? What if your purpose and destiny was beyond what your mind can perceive or anticipate? What if in this new season, the things that you are to do, the places that you are to go and who you are to be is something totally new? How would you then interpret what’s new?
What do you mean by something NEW?
A rediscovery of your gifting, in this context, is the “something new” I’m referring to. We often like to think that something new is related to what we already know, what society has taught us or even what we have learnt while growing up. This can’t be farther from the truth because something NEW could be a path you never imagined yourself to be on.
For example, I used to be an engineer. Today, I am a lecturer.
My career took such a different turn a while ago and I was suddenly put on a NEW path, an unexpected path. I discovered that my gifting was to teach and communicate with people.
Whilst it was necessary for me to journey as an engineer at my former place of work so I would be shaped and moulded, I am more content and happy now since I am exercising the gift within me.

While we struggle to see past our own limitations, we often forget that the Man above knows them well, maybe better. Our flaws, mistakes and limitations, He knows them all.
Even so, He demonstrates His endless love for us through His limitless power, by leading us and guiding us through His word and His relationship with us.
Like rivers running through a dry barren desert, even in the most adverse of situations you will thrive when you exercise your giftings whilst pursuing your passion. God will always make a way for you, even when there seems to be no way.
The Word of God tells us to trust God in ALL situations and lean not on your own understanding for He will direct you on the right path which most often includes a path that you may not be used to or comfortable to take.
To the person that may doubt this, why limit your mind to the familiar and what you perceive to be true when you can put your trust in God to guide you and take you on a journey that is totally NEW, perhaps something unexpected.
"A new path is sometimes scary and unfamiliar. Do not let that unfamiliarity deter you from pursuing what you have been destined to do. Give it a shot folks, it’s amazing I tell you!"
